Paul Palan – Product Educator – Lighting Designer
Paul Palan is the Product Educator at DMF Lighting, where he works to increase accessibility to lighting knowledge and education for their customers and the industry at large. Paul’s background in the lighting industry began in entertainment and theatrical lighting design. After receiving his MFA in Theatrical Lighting from Boston University, he worked for various regional opera and theater companies, as staff Lighting and Projections Supervisor for the UCLA Department of Theater, and transitioned to the field of architectural lighting design in 2022. Outside of the lighting industry, Paul is an avid environmentalist and loves spending time outdoors, enjoying California beaches, hiking, running, and scuba diving.
