November 2025 Meeting: Blind Downlight Review & Manufacturer Expo

Blind Downlight Review

Manufacturers will provide good / better / best samples for a 4” and a 2” downlight.  Samples will be provided with cone finish options as well as trims, mounting trays, driver swap ease, etc.  Manufacturer information will remain hidden until the reveal after voting has been completed.  The competition will be held in a private event space on the first floor.

Objective

Attendees review each sample and choose their favorite downlight in each category and size.

Expo

Up to 15 manufacturers will be able to showcase some of their new products on the mezzanine level.  Staircase access only to the mezzanine.

Menu

Tailgate Buffet – Whiskey BBQ sauce, verde pork, pretzel sticks, tortilla chips, house-made beer cheese, sour cream, cilantro, pico de galo, pickled onion, pickled jalapeños, buffalo sauce, smoked chicken wings, carrots and celery, peppercorn ranch

Veggie Wraps – Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and house-made garlic aioli rolled in a 12 inch wrap, then cut in half (vg)

Cheese, Sausage, & Cracker Platter – Swiss, cheddar, and pepper jack cheeses, garlic summer sausage, and a variety of crackers

Seasonal Fruit Platter – Variety of four seasonal fruits (v, vg, df, gf)

Beer Mac & Cheese – Mac and cheese made with our house-made smoky beer cheese sauce
