May Tour: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again – Oriental Theater Relighting

Overview

Tour The Oriental Theatre.

The project, Let’s Do the Time Warp Again – Oriental Theater Relighting, won a national Award of Merit in the 2023 IES Illumination Awards.  The tour will include review of lighting and controls design for the renovation of this national historic landmark.  We’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the project challenges and solutions.  Please know that the lobby and main floors of all theaters are ADA accessible, however there is no elevator access to the balcony of the main theater or ramp access to backstage.  Both areas are part of the tour and both are accessible only via stairs.  Please don’t let that hold you back, but just so all are aware of the limitations of the space.  We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Event Schedule

Arrive: 1:30 pm
Tour starts at 1:45 pm sharp.  Plan on arriving 20-30 mins early to find street parking and walk to the theater.  We will not be able to hold the tour start time for anyone.
